A Southern Lady will Cook

I am very excited about my new cookbook, "A Southern Lady Cooks" (courtesy of Aunt Martha). Since entering the real-world, I have become increasingly interested in cooking and baking and I think I'm actually becoming a fairly good little cook too. I also enjoy being southern, so this cookbook is right up my alley.

I hope it keeps me distracted/entertained during the post-holiday blues (I really loath January and February unless it is snowing). I was just telling Timothy that my blog may become very boring after the holiday updates, but maybe if I commit to cooking and posting my blog will remain interesting. So look for some foodie updates to come.

Aunt Martha also gave me a fabulous-southern inspired apron as well. The cookbook and the apron are also inspiring me to possibly decorate my kitchen. 

Notice that I did not say RE-decorate. As of right now my kitchen changes with the seasons/holidays and does not have a particular design or theme. But my walls are already green and I'm thinking some pink, pineapple and dragon fly accents might be perfect. We will see how long my enthusiasm for my kitchen lasts.
